There are two types of schedules: the manager's schedule, which operates in one-hour intervals, and the maker's schedule, preferred by creators like programmers and writers, which operates in half-day units. Meetings, while practical on a manager's schedule, are disruptive on a maker's schedule, often breaking up large chunks of productive time.
Aim to have a maker’s schedule with large blocks of uninterrupted time working on important issues.
